Changes for the remainder of 2026 and 2027

Next trial is September 13th at Stathams ( opposite Matlock golf course) as announced previously.

We held a club team meeting this week and we have unanimously decided on the following:

1: Section format.

2: Which observing rule to follow.

3: Introduction of a twinshock/classic event.

4: Next year’s trials.

1: Section format: Our recent trend has seen our hard route become harder and highly technical, Ok for British championship level riders, but a bit too much for the regular club level expert/ inter. As of now, the hard route will be set out by a club level expert rider who will ride the hard route, it will still be challenging as the hard route should be, but there will be plenty of room to negotiate the hazard without the need to be hopping about.

The Inter route will follow the same format, and be set out by a club member who will ride that route. The 50/50 hard/ inter route will be 5 inter sections and 5 of the easiest hard route sections.

The clubman route will now be set out by a club member who is a clubman at best and will ride that route.

The easy route will be set out at a level for new riders to the sport and riders having an easier day .

We are introducing a 50/50 Easy/ Clubman route for riders wishing to move on/ improve, where they will do 5 easy route sections and 5 of the easiest clubman route sections.

The Easy route will be suitable for twinshock easy riders, the Clubman route will be suitable for a harder twinshock route.

2: We have decided to go with Stop allowed rules, but for the majority of sections, we will give you as much room as possible so you may not need to stop!!

3: We now have 4/5 of us with twinshock bikes, so we have decided to run two events per year for twinshock/classic/ACM , on dates that do not clash with the local Peak/Midland classic clubs

Our first event will be on December 6th venue to be confirmed.

4: We have noticed that our summer events have suffered from clashes with other club dates and also people on holiday etc, so we have decided next year’s trials will be as follows, provisional dates, to be submitted to the Peak group for confirmation:

January 31st. Modern

March 14th or 28th T/shock/Classic

May 25th. Modern

Sept 15th. Modern

Oct 31st. T/shock/Classic

Dec26th. Modern

Twinshocks and Classic bikes are welcome and will be catered for at our modern events.

Venues will be decided upon on an event by event basis on the weather/ parking conditions.
